Troubleshooting
Common Issues
a) No picture/No LED light on the camera: Possible bad connection on either camera, spring or the push cable. Or the soft video cable connects between the reel and the monitor.
Diagnostic: Hook up everything, then press the LED button on the monitor to see if it turns on the light.
a) For portable or all-in-one machines, if you have another head/spring/soft video cable/push cable, swap the head/spring/soft video cable/push cable, see if it solves the problem. Then you can tell which part is bad.
b) For mid-range or long range systems, if you have another camera head/spring/soft video cable, swap the head/spring/soft video cable/push cable, see if it solves the problem. If not, use the push rod testing cable, connect one end directly to the back of the push cable, another end directly to the monitor ro bypass the footage counter box. Then you can tell which part is bad.
Solution: You can either purchase a new part or just send the bad part in for evaluation and repair. If you are not sure, just send in the whole thing back to us for an evaluation and repair.
b) Monitor cannot power on: Possible bad button board, dead battery or mother board.
Diagnostic for battery: Make sure you insert the fuse correctly and try again. If it still has problems, directly plug in the AC-Adapter to the monitor from a wall outlet see if the power LED light is on. If it works, then the battery is dead.
Diagnostic for monitor: If the battery and AC adapter both works fine, and you also have the power indicator is on, but no response if you press the power button, then it has a bad button board. If the power indicator does not light on, then it has a bad mother board.
Solution: You can either purchase a new part or just send the bad part in for evaluation and repair. If you are not sure, just send in the whole monitor back to us for an evaluation and repair.
c) Flickering image or LED light: Possible bad connection on either camera, spring or the push cable. Or the soft video cable connects between the reel and the monitor.
Diagnostic: Hook up everything, then just wiggle or shake the suspicious part to see if it generates the issue. If you have another head/spring/soft video cable/push cable, swap the head/spring/soft video cable/push cable, see if it solves the problem. Then you can tell which part is bad.
Solution: You can either purchase a new part or just send the bad part in for evaluation and repair. If you are not sure, just send in the whole thing back to us for an evaluation and repair.
d) Image has flashing black lines or no footage shows on the screen (for the reel with footage counter ONLY): Possible bad connection on the slip ring or footage counter box.
Diagnostic: Hook up everything, then just wiggle or shake the suspicious part to see if it generates the issue. If you have another soft video cable/push cable, swap the soft video cable/push cable, see if it solves the problem. Then you can tell which part is bad.
Solution: You can either purchase a new part or just send the bad part in for evaluation and repair. If you are not sure, just send in the whole thing back to us for an evaluation and repair.
